Review: Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs

Publication Date: 3/8/2016
Series: Mercy Thompson #9
Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb:

Tensions between the fae and humans are coming to a head. And when coyote shapeshifter Mercy and her Alpha werewolf mate, Adam, are called upon to stop a rampaging troll, they find themselves with something that could be used to make the fae back down and forestall out-and-out war: a human child stolen long ago by the fae.

Defying the most powerful werewolf in the country, the humans, and the fae, Mercy, Adam, and their pack choose to protect the boy no matter what the cost. But who will protect them from a boy who is fire touched?

After the bat shit crazy ride of Night Broken, Mercy and Adam’s lives have somewhat settled down. Well, if you can even classify being the pack alpha and his mate and living amongst fae, other wolves, vampires, and all the other things that go bump in the night normal.    Mercy has given just enough time to recover from her near fatal injuries when the plot line of Fire Touched takes off.  Without giving too much away because frankly I hate spoilers, Mercy and Co embark on a new journey in the supernatural community.  One declaration by Mercy and their world has splintered and grown all at the same time.  For all Mercy Thompson fans, Fire Touched is potentially a game changer kind of novel and its refreshing to see where the plots and future books can go from here.  The Mercy and Adam romance is still sizzling hot and will leave you panting for a cool down.

Fire Touched is one Hell of a thrill ride so readers, keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times.  You wouldn’t want to get burned would you?
