Review: When I Fall by J. Daniels

Publication Date: March 17, 2015
Series: Alabama Summer Book 3
Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb:
From NY Times and USA Today bestselling author, J. Daniels, book three in the Alabama Summer series.

For the past nine years, I’ve kept my heart as far away from my dick as possible.

Those two can’t be anywhere near each other. They don’t play nice, and one of them undoubtedly winds up getting hurt.

Not my dick. My dick is good.

The women I take home know exactly what they’re getting from me—sex. Nothing more. At least, that’s what’s supposed to happen. The sweet brunette from Kentucky I set my sights on tonight shouldn’t have been any different. I had her right where I wanted her. Where I needed her. But when my past comes walking into McGill’s pub, the woman in my arms decides to take things to a whole new level, putting me into a situation I never saw coming.

My heart is about to get fucked. My dick can sit this one out.
Warning: this book is recommended for readers over the age of 18 due to strong language and explicit sexual content. When I Fall can be read as a standalone novel.

I have officially fallen head over heals in love with Reed and Beth!!!! Since book 1, we have been getting glimpses for Reed’s book and I knew when he fell in love, he would fall hard. Of course Reed did everything he could to fight it but fate had other plans.

Beth is such a sweet and amazing person. I truly loved her right from the start. Beth has had such a rough life and all she wants is to fit in and fell welcome. She also wants someone to love her and care about her. When Beth meets Reed she knows he is different and falls for his charms pretty quickly.

Reed has been hurt in the past. I HATED his ex!! UGH I want to throat punch her multiple times throughout the book. Reed doesn’t think with his heart anymore which is why people label him a man whore. Which is actually pretty true but once I got the whole story, my heart broke for Reed. But as much as Reed tries to fight his feelings for Beth, he can’t seem to shake her.

Once again not only do we get the story of Beth and Reed but also the other characters in this series as well. I think that’s why I fell in love so fast because each character latches onto your heart in a different way. Beth and Reed both don’t have the best past and there were more a few times I wanted to hold them and say it would be ok. Reed is also an alpha, which is HOT HOT HOT!!!! There were some parts that had me fanning my face it got so intense. Make sure to read this series. All 3 books are beautiful!! I literally read them back-to-back because I couldn’t get enough. I would love to see a follow up story of all 3 couples some day!
