Publication Date: 12/8/2013
Series: VIP #1
Rating: 4.5 Stars

Official Blurb:

Ysabelle

They say in order to find yourself you have to go home, but what if home is what you’re escaping from. I went to Miami to discover myself; never in my wildest dreams, did I think home would become a three-letter word.
VIP.
I was the dream.
I was the illusion.
I was the fantasy.
Until him…
Everything went to hell in hand basket the moment we laid eyes on each other.
I wanted him.
He wanted me.

Sebastian

I have always been a man who made decisions based on other people’s feelings, wants, and desires.
I was selfless.
I never wanted to hurt anyone.
Especially her.
The moment I met her… I wanted her.
I loved her.
For the woman she was.
For the woman she wanted to be.
But most of all…
For the woman she was, when she was with me.

This isn’t a love story, but a story about love.

As many of the fans of the blog know, I’m not a huge fan of cheating books. Yet, when a fellow co-blogger suggested that I try this series I didn’t  back down from the challenge. Yes, there was cheating within the pages of VIP, but the story itself was quite engaging. Robinson takes the take to set the scene for the present day portion of the Ysabelle and Sebastian’s lives are completely opposite, yet heartbreakingly tragic. Never let anyone tell you that your first love doesn’t affect you as you grow up because that’s complete utter bullshit as you see with Sebastian.

VIP is filthy, dirty, and quite honestly sinfully sexy.  The emotional angst goes from zero to sixty and flashes back and forth until you’re completely out of tears and your heart is shattered. Robinson’s characters are complex enough that you leave the book feeling as if you’ve known them your entire life. It was a good book, but I want our readers to understand that this is another one of those books that may not exactly be fit for everyone to read.  You’ll either love it or you’ll hate it. I guess it’s up to you to decide!
