a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof

They say when you assume that you make an ass out of you and me.

Kenton Mayson learned this lesson firsthand when he made assumptions about Autumn Freeman and the kind of woman she is based on what little information he had. What he finds out is she’s not only beautiful, but also smart, funny, a fighter, and exactly the kind of woman he wants to share his life with.

Autumn made assumptions of her own about Kenton, and now he needs to prove her wrong in order to protect her and their future.

This is my very first Aurora Rose Reynolds book and holy shit was it good! With just one book, she is moving into my favorite author’s list! Her characters are engaging and mysterious.  I’ll admit at first when I found out Autumn was a stripper I hesitated with going forward with the book for fear it would turn into an erotica novel.  It’s not that I don’t love erotica, but I was in the mood for a lighter side of romance.  As the story progressed, I fell in love with Autumn’s sassy ways. She can hold her own when it comes to her protector, Kenton. The bed scene… I was laughing my ass off out loud. She knows when she needs to turn up the crazy bitch gauge to get her point across.  Kenton was a little bit harder to fall for with his treatment of Autumn. The instant re-thinking about discovering the truth about her career really threw me for a loop. Instead of getting to know her, he assumed that her former career was everything to know about her. I am glad as the story continues; he realizes how much of an ass he was at the beginning of the novel, which is good for him because I was contemplating on how I could kick a fictional character’s ass. Just saying, Kenton, if you were real I’d watch my back. Anyways, final thoughts about my first book written by ARR are that I need more! Like now? Pretty please? I am going to be diving into her other series soon and I think you should too!
