Official Blurb:

When I was seventeen, I disappeared. I walked out the door of my apartment with a backpack and never looked back. I left the life of Cora Mitchell behind, seeking freedom from my real-life nightmare. But my freedom came with a cost. I lived a fictitious life for the next six years, never letting anyone close enough to see underneath the facade that was Andra Walker. I was content with my simple little life. Until I met Julian. And the moment I started allowing myself to open up, allowing someone to see through the superficial, was the very same moment the Monster from my past would return to find me.

He Found Me is a marvelous debut novel by new author Whitney Barbetti! Cora Mitchell walked away from the abusive home she was forced to live in and steps out into the work as Andra Walker. She’s lived a somewhat peaceful life since becoming Andra on a dude ranch. She enjoys the work and people around her. She’s content in her life, letting no one time her down until the day that Julian checks into her resort. Julian’s arrival is about to shake up her happy little slice of life and re-open the wounds of her past. She has to face her demons if she wants the hope of future happiness. She just has to get away from her past first.

This beautifully written book weaves an imaginative and heart pounding romantic tragedy. Andra is a heartbreaking character. She has lived her life always looking over her should once she escapes her former home. While Julian is the complete opposite in his intense drive and need to be in Andra’s life.  His fiery passion engulfs her cool and calm demeanor.  I cannot wait to see what unfolds in the next book!
