Review: Resolution of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen

Publication Date: 9/30/2014

Series: The Coincidence #6
Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb:

Things are going well for Callie and Kayden. They’re still dealing with their past and the pain connected to it, but for the most part they’ve moved on. The biggest decision they have at the moment is what they want to do with their lives in the future.

Eventually, though, the past catches up with them and they’re left facing tough choices. But Callie and Kayden learn that as long as they have each other, they can make it through just about anything. And in the end, they discover what they really want out of life

This story has left me with a sense of happiness and sadness all mashed up together. Callie and Kayden have faced so many terrifying obstacles both individually and together that you cannot help but wonder how they survived their pasts and even present day events at all. I’ll tell you how… they survived together. Callie and Kayden’s story is so much more than a whimsically tale of romance and troubled pasts. It’s a story that screams that to love and be loved is all you need to save you from your demons and yourself. To learn to rely and trust in that one person who can bring you from the depths of darkness back into the land of the light. They are both horrifically broken and beautifully mended with their love for each other.

Think this series was to me at least sharing how someone who has been so tragically hurt and deceived. Someone who is left broken beyond repair can live again. This story and series is about finding hope and love. It’s about saving the one you love while their saving you in return. Their story is gritty and dark yet it has this essence of hope and light that I truthfully have never seen written as well as Sorensen has written their story and characters. I am truly sad to see their series end, but I can relish in the fact that these two characters have finally found their peace, their HEA.
