Obsession. It’s an ugly thing.
It consumes you. Controls you. Dictates your every move.
You can try to fight it, try to resist. But its stronger than you. It always wins.
The day I first saw her, obsession took root inside me. Suddenly there was nothing else. Just her.
My obsession left me no choice. I had to have her.
No matter the cost.
No matter the risk.
In the end she will be mine.
Until then…I wait.
*DEPRAVED is a dark MC Romance with scenes that might offend sensitive readers*
I highly recommend reading Depraved, if you’re in the mood for something dark and yet, so satisfying. When I started Depraved, I was definitely in the mood to read something that would suck me in. I got that and a bit more while reading this one. I’d never read anything by Bella J before, and now I’m glad I did.
The second I started reading, I couldn’t seem to stop. The more I went, the more I realized this was my kind of book. There were just enough dark parts that kept me wanting more, and I couldn’t seem to get enough of Granite. He’s the ultimate alpha/dominate male. He pushes Alyx in such a way that only he can, and I did enjoy that she fought back. She didn’t just cave like I thought she would in her situation.
The only flaw of this book is the inconsistences. I can normally look over them and it doesn’t affect the story, but there is one big one that I can seem to shake. I can’t say what it is because it’ll spoil the entire book, but I really hope things are explained in book two. I really felt as if that one part (which was a big one) was suddenly forgotten because the book just ended. There was no mention of it or anything, honestly. I would’ve liked to gotten more on this one part because to me, it changes how I feel about the Kings. If they did what I think, and I hope they didn’t, I’m not sure I can look at them the same in book two.
I am looking forward to seeing what else happens in this series. Bella J did a great job at sucking me into the King’s world, and I’m anxiously waiting for book two.
