Review: So, if you haven’t figured it out yet, then let me explain. I have an AR addition, and I literally have to one-click every single book right away. I also have a sweet tooth, and cake is literally my favorite. So, this is the perfect delicious combo for me, and I had to dig in.
Sugar goes to weddings with her best friend, Nikki, just for the cake, while Nikki goes to find true love. Sugar hasn’t met the right guy, and she honestly doesn’t see herself meeting him. So, she just focuses on the cake that is, until one particular wedding changes it all.
Hank works construction, and he’s used to working and building beautiful things, but he never expects to make a wedding cake. After his brother makes a huge mess of the cake, he finds himself in the kitchen, preparing to save the day. I mean, how hard can it be to make a cake from scratch. After lots of hours, everything turns out great with the cake, and Hank sits back, letting his brother and his new wife take the spotlight, until he sees Sugar. He knows right away that Sugar is unlike any woman he’s ever met, so he’s on a mission to make her his, even if that means baking her cakes every day for the rest of his life.
This book is literally so sweet it will give you a tooth ache. I adored both Sugar and Hank together, and their chemistry is just too cute. There are also a lot of funny moments that made me laugh. If you love insta-love and sugary, sweet romances, then this book is perfect for you.
