Review: Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon

Publication Date: April 3rd, 2015
Series: Ice Planet Barbarians #1
Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb: You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet.

And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me...

Review: Okay, it’s so hard to start this review, because my head is still spinning, my mind is completely blown, and I have found a new series that rocked my world.

First off, I never in a million years thought I would read something like this. Yeah, I’m sure everyone has said this before about a book, but it’s so very true about this one. I have seen this book several times now, so I jumped in head first, and I’m so glad I did. This is my first ever Sci-Fi alien romance, and I’m just disappointed that I didn’t start quicker.

When Georgie went to bed one night, she had no idea she would wake up on a ship that is full of little green men, who have taken her and several others captive. They are locked in cages, barely feed, and they are going to be sold for profit. It’s a nightmare, but the girls are determined to escape. Lucky for the them, the ship has some problems, so the little men dump them, and they end up on an ice planet. Georgie is kind of the leader now, and she ventures out to explore the planet and try to find help. This is where she meets Vektal, the blue barbarian that is about to change her whole entire life.

Vektal is very tall, very blue, has horn, a tail, and his khui is singing for Georgie, because she is his mate. Once the khui picks the mate, then the couple is mated for life. The tribe Vektal comes from is slowly dying, and there aren’t many females. They have all waited a long time for their mates, and now the times has come for their tribe to grow. Georgie doesn’t have a khui (the thing she, as well as the other girls, need in order to survive the ice planet), but there is no denying the attraction that’s there between her and Vektal. Even though these two cannot keep their hands off each other, there are several other girls that need saving. Good thing Vektal has a whole tribe of males willing to help.

I honestly can’t believe just how much I fell in love with this book. Not only is it got some good hot and steamy love sessions happening, but it’s also adorable and funny. When the men mate, they turn into super sweet softies, and I couldn’t get enough. I had no idea this is a twenty-book series, but I’m ready to take the journey. Believe me, I couldn’t stop now, even if I wanted too, so it’s onto book 2.
