Blog Tour: Sixth Grave on the Edge Re-Read by Darynda Jones

Grim Reaper Charley Davidson is back in the final installment of Darynda Jones’ New York Times bestselling paranormal series!

Charley Davidson, Grim Reaper extraordinaire, is pissed. She’s been kicked off the earthly plane for eternity—which is exactly the amount of time it takes to make a person stark, raving mad. But someone’s looking out for her, and she’s allowed to return after a mere hundred years in exile. Is it too much to hope for that not much has changed? Apparently it is. Bummer.

She’s missed her daughter. She’s missed Reyes. She’s missed Cookie and Garrett and Uncle Bob. Now that she’s back on earth, it’s time to put to rest burning questions that need answers. What happened to her mother? How did she really die? Who killed her? And are cupcakes or coffee the best medicine for a broken heart? It all comes to a head in an epic showdown between good and evil in this final smart and hilarious novel.

Return to the Sixth Grave on the Edge

There are few books that I count down until the moment I have their pages in my hands. Sixth Grave on the Edge is one of those books and it does not  disappoint even after all this time. Charley and Reyes still are and will always be one of my favorite fictional couples.  It is still by far one of the best books in this series.

This book was the Reyes/Charley book many of us have waited on since the beginning of their budding relationship. After Reyes Post-It note proposal at the end of the last book, their relationship continued to grow through the book. He opens up to her about his origins, his family, and his feelings for her. He also sheds light on her past, present, and future. He does not easily open up to anyone, but his devotion and love for Charley can be felt during every scene their together. This is why this book is so special to me. This was THE book. The book where Charley and Reyes began their journey to an HEA.

The prophecy revelation both at the middle and the ending of the books still leaves me speechless. Now as we sit with the last book. SO much of this makes sense now. Book Sixth was the beginning of the end. One now that I am crushed to say I've read only because that I have to admit to myself that this is it. The last one.
