Review: Ryan’s Bed by Tijan

Publication Date: January 22, 2018

Series: Standalone
Rating: 4.5 Stars

Official Blurb: I crawled into Ryan Jensen’s bed that first night by accident.

I barely knew him. I thought it was his sister’s bed—her room. It took seconds to realize my error, and I should've left...

I didn’t.
I didn’t jump out.
I didn’t get embarrassed.
I relaxed.
And that night, in that moment, it was the only thing I craved.

I asked to stay. He let me, and I slept.

The truth? I never wanted to leave his bed. If I could've stayed forever, I would have.
He became my sanctuary.

Because—four hours earlier—my twin sister killed herself.

Review: This is a book that literally hit me hardcore in the feels. I was so consumed with Mackenzie’s darkness that I couldn’t even think straight, until I finished this book. Tijan did an amazing job with the emotional journey in this book. I could feel every single emotion that Mac felt from loss, to heartache, betrayal, frustration, grief, anger, sadness, love, happiness, and healing.

Mackenzie’s whole world is turned upside down, when she finds her twin sister who just committed suicide. Mac ends up in Ryan’s bed that night, and her whole world changes. Ryan knows what it’s like to lose someone, and Mac really needs a person who can help her right now. Not only is Mac grieving her sister, but her family is falling to pieces. Can a person heal after losing their other half?

This is a story that took me on an emotional roller coaster ride from beginning to end. I could literally feel Mac’s pain on every single page. Ryan was such as amazing person. He was there for Mac every step of the way. And the ending… the very last page… I still have chill bumps. This is a story I will be thinking about for a while.
