Blog Tour: Mend by Chelle Bliss

From USA Today bestselling author Chelle Bliss comes a feel-good, sexy second-chance STANDALONE romance.
Six years ago, the only girl I ever loved moved away. She said she’d come back to me. She promised she’d write. She swore she’d always be mine, but Evie Bailey lied.
Now, Evie’s back, and this time, I’m not letting her go without a fight.
Before senior year, I was forced to move away, leaving behind the only boy I ever loved. He said he’d love me forever. He promised nothing would tear us apart. He swore he’d wait for me, but Jack Nelson lied.
Now, Jack wants to make me his again, but he may never be able to forgive my sins.

Mend is a sweet, second chance romance for the ages.

Evie and Jack faced what all young fears the most, being ripped apart by their parents and having no choice in the matter.  It was heart-breaking, and when other forces pushed them away even farther, you can feel the emotional breakdowns of both characters.

But together again by chance is where the magic really happens. The chemistry is sizzling, and the romance even more so. Evie and Jack may be fighting past feelings and a hidden secret, but nothing is going to keep them from exploring the possibilities of their past again.

Evan, Evie’a best friend, is much needed comic relief to the soft overtones of sadness that really drive this story home. His sense of humor and one-liners will leave you in stitches.

While this book was a bit more straight forward and sweet than Chelle’s others books, I still loved it without the drama and darkness thrown in there. I have to note that Chelle’s letter at the beginning of the book left me in tears before I even started it because I have been in her shoes. It is something that will leave you forever changed and is always fresh in your mind. Her strength to finish this book shows in the magnificent story that is Mend.
