Katerina Dawson knows exactly what she wants from life. And as the new associate at the top law firm in the city, she’s ready to live out her dreams of becoming a criminal lawyer. But going on coffee runs and babysitting kids during the day was definitely not what she had in mind. She knows that anyone else would kill to be in her shoes, but she has to draw the line somewhere. That’s easier said than done, though, when Kat has to confront her handsome boss…
Tristan Channing and Jaxon Bentley run a successful law firm together and the two partners couldn’t be busier right now. When Jaxon suddenly takes a leave of absence, Tristan begrudgingly assumes responsibility of the new associate, the hot new associate, who has curves for days. Needing to keep his distance from her, Tristan sends Kat on needless errands and has her doing work even an intern wouldn’t touch, like picking up his kids. But his plan backfires when he sees his children grow attached to Kat and sees her getting comfortable in his home. It triggers something deep within him, and it feels right to have her there. Will Tristan be able to keep his work and personal lives separate, or will he find that his heart holds the final verdict?

Review: Let me start by saying this beginning of this book was so good. I liked Kat a lot, but I fell completely in love with Tristian. The build up between these two was absolutely beautiful.

Kat start out working for Jaxon in the law firm, but when Jaxon has to take a leave of absence Tristian takes over the cases. Kat is trying to prove herself in the new law firm, but she is tired of running errands for Tristian. Tristian is treating her like a mindless intern instead of an equal. Is it really that he is treating her unfairly or is he fighting his feelings?

The sexual chemistry is off the charts between these two. It’s a slow burn that I just knew would end with a bang. This is where everything kind of changed for me. I adored these two so much during the whole story, and I was waiting patiently for a HUGE ending. Unfortunately, the ending was a let down. I WANTED SO MUCH MORE!!!! I felt like I was left hanging, and I was actually kind of heart broken. Can we please get more!! ??

Breaching the Contract started out so good! I really loved Kat and Tristian. The build-up was so amazing too. I literally couldn’t stop reading once I started, and I just knew this one would be a solid five stars for me.
But sadly, that ending is what changed everything.
I wish I could say I liked the ending. I thought this one would go an entirely different way, but it just fell flat. I just think the pacing of the book was a bit off. Over 70ish % of the book was the build-up and the anticipation was off the charts. But then it was just over. I wanted to see more of Kat and Tristian and I just felt their story never got the attention it deserved. Not to mention there was one part that I really didn’t get. It really didn’t make sense and it felt as if it was just tossed in there to make drama.
Like I said, it started out wonderfully and I’ll try another book by this author because she knows how to pull me into her stories. I just hope with the next book, the ending isn’t rushed.
