Official Blurb: Ruby Scott is months behind on rent and can’t seem to land a steady job. She has one chance to turn things around with a big audition. But instead of getting her big break, she gets sick as a dog and completely bombs it in the most humiliating fashion. All thanks to a mysterious, gorgeous guy who kissed—and then coughed on—her at a party the night before.

Luckily, her best friend might have found the perfect opportunity; a job staying at the lavish penthouse apartment of hotel magnate Bancroft Mills while he’s out of town, taking care of his exotic pets. But when the newly-evicted Ruby arrives to meet her new employer, it turns out Bane is the same guy who got her sick.

Seeing his role in Ruby’s dilemma, Bane offers her a permanent job as his live-in pet sitter until she can get back on her feet. Filled with hilariously awkward encounters and enough sexual tension to heat a New York City block, Shacking Up, from NYT and USA Today bestselling author Helena Hunting, is sure to keep you laughing and swooning all night long.

Review: This book is absolutely adorable! Helena sucked me right in from the first page. I literally could NOT put this book down. It’s so funny, sweet, and down right romantic from start to finish.

A simple kiss can literally change everything…

Ruby is at her bestie’s engagement party, and not really having a good time. She decides it’s time to go, and quickly makes her way to the restrooms and plans to hit the exit. But when Ruby steps out of the bathroom she is literally kissed by a stranger. With an awkward goodbye, Ruby quickly leaves to get ready for her audition. The next morning everything changes. The stupid handsome jerk from the night before gets her sick, and Ruby completely bombs her audition. Her best friend comes up with a plan to fix everything. Turns out Ruby’s BFF’s cousin needs a pet sitter. Enter Bane… he feels guilty about getting Ruby sick and offers her a place to live pet sitting for the next few weeks.

This starts the relationship between Ruby and Bane.

At first, it’s just a few easy and quick phone calls. I mean Bane is only calling for his pets right? Yeah not so much… he is attracted to Ruby and the more they talk the more the attraction grows. Their conversations quickly turn sweet and simple to sexy and flirty. I just adored these two together. And Bane’s ferret is also adorable… the tarantula yeah not so much, but hey I could deal with a creepy spider for a sex on a stick like Bane. He is a total sweetheart. I loved every minute of this book, and I cannot wait for the next one. I have a feeling it’s going to be just a fun!
