Review: Blade Bound by Chloe Neill

Publication Date: 4/25/2017
Rating: 4 Stars

Official Blurb:

Since the night of her brutal attack and unwilling transformation to vampire, Merit’s stood as Sentinel and protector of Chicago’s Cadogan House. She's saved the Windy City from the forces of darkness time and again with her liege and lover, Ethan Sullivan, by her side.

When the House is infiltrated and Merit is attacked by a vampire seemingly under the sway of dark magic, Merit and Ethan realize the danger is closer than they could have ever imagined. As a malign sorcery spreads throughout the city, Merit must go to war against supernatural powers beyond her comprehension. It’s her last chance to save everything—and everyone—she loves.

If there was ever a book that could be the perfect ending to a long-running series, Blade Bound would be it.  Blade Bound brings everything full circle, and without giving anything away, this is a must read. This series has been a roller coaster of emotions for me. Merit’s up and rock bottoms crushed me. I can remember sitting in the dentist office’s bawling my eyes out after reading about Ethan’s sacrifice for Merit, and the dental assistants asking what was wrong.  That is just a tiny piece of how good this series is.   Neill has created a whirlwind series that will hook readers from Some Girls Bite to Blade Bound.  These two characters along with the others have been with me so long that I know as soon as the reality sets in that this is the last time I will ever read about them and their adventures.
