Official Blurb: THE PERFECT NEIGHBORS. THE PERFECT COVER.
A GRIPPING ROMANTIC SUSPENSE THRILLER
He’s a contract killer. She likes to even the score. Smack dab in the middle of suburbia, few married couples are as competitive as Jude and Kate.
But then, most married couples don't keep score in the form of body counts. Each hell-bent on a silent pact to out-do the other, the games begin.
Who ends up on top is anyone’s guess. But with these two, one thing’s for sure— not everyone comes out alive.
After all, there are a few things they can agree on: All is fair in love and war. And if they can’t make it work— they’re dead in the water.
Review: Jude and Kate are back with a bang, and boy have I missed them so much. That sounds strange right? I questioned myself many times throughout this story of how in the world did Ms. King make me fall in love with not one but two killers…but she has done it.
Jude and Kate are living in the peaceful little neighborhood trying to fit into the lifestyle and be completely different people than what they really are. On the outside, they seem perfect and loving, but on the inside there is a hunger in them both that can only be consumed by the number of bodies they leave along the way. At times I questioned who is crazier. Is it Jude, Kate, or me for loving both of them through the madness?
This story was a huge surprise for me. I have been reading Ms. King’s books for quite a while now, but this book takes her writing to a whole new level. I was completely blown away and left with my mouth hanging open. There are so many twists, turns and surprises along the way that left me speechless. This series has become a top favorite for me and I can’t wait for the final book. I need answers to what happens when two serial killers try to live a normal life. Can they really get an HEA or will everything goes down in flames? I will be not so patiently waiting for the ending! Fantastic job Ms. King!

Dead in the Water by Britney King is a definite must read. It’s one I see myself reading again and again. There’s just something about Britney’s writing style that instantly pulls you in and I know I couldn’t stop reading once I started.
More than once I was hanging off the edge of my seat wondering what else could happen with Kate and Jude. I had so many questions and just when I thought things were alright, Britney would blow me away with another twist. Things are definitely not what they seem with Kate and Jude.
They’re actually perfect for each other, and it was very interesting to read about a couple like them, but also see how they have every day marital problems. Britney really had me worried at one point and I was biting my nails hoping the ending wouldn’t end the way I thought it would. I really can’t go too much into detail about this book mainly because I don’t want to give anything away. Dead in the Water is just one of those books you’ll have to read and see for yourself why it’s so good. Britney has really outdone herself with this one, and I’m very excited to see what will come next!
