Title: Make Me
Series: Kiss of Death #0.5
Author: LP Lovell
Genre: Dark Romance
Release Date: November 14, 2016
0.5 in The Kiss of Death Series. Prequel novella to Kill Me.
At thirteen years old I was sold, doomed to become a sex slave.
Nicholai Ivanov, boss of the Russian Bratva, gave me the ultimate gift. He saved me from a fate worse than death. He promised to make me strong, because only the strong survive, and the weak die, forgotten and inconsequential.
I now live in a world of blood and violence, where humanity itself is a weakness. My life is not a battle of bad and good, but bad and worse. This is kill or be killed, survival of the fittest.
Make me or break me?
Make me is a very quick read, but one I found I really enjoyed. To me, this one needed to be short and sweet. It gives just enough of what Una went through as a child, and how she became who she is in Kill Me. You see her pain, struggles, fear, and most of all I felt so sad for her. A part of me is conflicted about how to feel about this one, because on one hand, I wanted someone to save her. But then again, if you’ve read Kill Me, you’ll totally get why I was okay with what happened to her. This is not a cookie cutter type of book, and Una is made to do some awful things. But seeing what she turned into in Kill Me, it makes it worth the read. I highly recommend checking this one out, and I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.
