Review: Making the Cut by Anne Malcom

Publication Date: August 11, 2015
Series: Sons of Templar MC #1
Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb:
Gwen Alexandra does not need a man in her life. Especially not a man who looks like Chris Hemsworth and Joe Manganiello's love child. One wearing leather, riding a Harley, and covered in tattoos.

Gwen can bet every pair of her Manolos that Cade Fletcher is trouble. From the moment she meets him, the attraction sizzles between them. Gwen has a problem when it comes to attractive men in motorcycle clubs. The last one she got involved with almost killed her.

After healing physically, Gwen decides to get a new start in a small town, half a country away from the man who nearly cost her her life. She isn't in town five minutes when she runs into Cade, a man that is too sexy and dangerous for his own good.

She tries to keep away from him, to ignore the attraction between them. But the biker has other ideas, soon she is in way over her head. Her heart, and her life are in danger once again.

Review: I have read a lot of MC books, but this is a top favorite for me. Anne’s writing is excellent. The story flowed very well together, and of course it had Cade Fletcher (sex of a stick). I literally read this within just a few hours.

Gwen has had a rough past. She isn’t looking for a man, but to get her life back in order and start her new business. Gwen picks up with her best friend Amy and moves to a new place to start her new life. She wasn’t ready for Cade Fletcher, but tell that to her heart and her panties.

Cade knows that Gwen is his forever girl from the moment he meets her. Cade knows Gwen is a little high class and stand offish, but he also knows she is hiding secrets… secrets he plans on getting to the bottom of. Will Gwen let Cade into her heart? Can Cade show Gwen he isn’t anything like her past? Or is there relationship doomed before it can even begin?

This book is very good. Not only are the two main characters lovable, but the secondary characters are as well. This book has a bit of everything… moments that will make you hold your breath wondering what’s going to happen, a great chemistry between Gwen and Cade in and out of the bedroom, funny moments that made me laugh out loud, a few moments that brought tears to my eyes, and it kept me sucked in from the first chapter. I have to say I can’t wait to start book 2 ASAP!
