Review: Priest by Sierra Simone

Publication Date:  6/29/2015
Rating:  5 Stars

Official Blurb:

There are many rules a priest can't break.
A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God.

I've always been good at following rules.
Until she came.
My name is Tyler Anselm Bell. I'm twenty-nine years old. Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again.
I am a priest and this is my confession.

***Priest is a standalone, full-length novel with an HEA.  For mature audiences only.***

Bless me Father Bell, for this book has made me sin.

This book is so sinful… it’s so fucking good to be bad. To call Priest a heavenly temptation is like calling Fifty Shades of Grey a children’s novel.  It’s taboo, dirty, and amazing sexy all wrapped up in a single book.  We’ve all heard the song “Hot for Teacher”, but Priest makes it move into “Hot for Preacher”. It’s been long time since a novel has made my panties drip to the point I need to pray for redemption or for relief. A a woman of faith and a preacher’s wife… I have to admit, I’ll never look at an alter the same way again. I’ll come right out and admit I thought I would hate this book for slandering a priest’s calling and vows, but after putting it down, I felt like I needed to recite Hail Marys and pray to god that there would be a sequel.

One of my favorite lines of this book was this:

I’ve always been good at following the rules. Until she came.

I know I did ;)

Not only is Priest my cherry popping first taboo read, but it changed the way I see things in the church my husband serves in. I wanted to hate this book for its blatant disrespect of church relics, but I couldn’t.  It was hot and marvelous and left me wanting a little priestly action of my own. This is something I don’t think I’d have ever said before this book, but….

God bless Seirra Simone and thank you for fucking Father Bell.
