Review: Where I Belong by J. Daniels

Publication Date: June 27, 2014
Series: Alabama Summer Book 1
Rating: 5 Stars

When Mia Corelli returns to Alabama for a summer of fun with her childhood best friend, Tessa, there's only one thing keeping her on edge. One person that she’d do anything to avoid.

Benjamin Kelly. World’s biggest dickhead.

Mia hates him with a fury and has no desire to ever see him again. When she decides to start her summer off with a bang and finally give away her v-card, she unknowingly hands it over to the one guy that excelled at making her life miserable, learning a valuable lesson in the process.

Always get the name of the guy you’re going home with.

Ben can’t get the girl he spent one night with out of his head. When she leaves him the next morning, he thinks he’ll never see her again. Until he sees her lounging by the pool with his sister.

Mia is determined to hate Ben, even though she can’t forget him.

Ben is determined to prove he’s not the same guy he used to be.

What happens when the one person you wish never existed becomes the one person you can’t imagine being without?

This was my first book by J. Daniels and I fell in love with this book!!! Ben and Mia are such an amazing couple. I laughed so many times throughout this book. Not only do we get the story of Ben and Mia but we also get their friends Tessa, Luke and Reed.

Mia grew up with Tessa and Ben. Ben was always so mean to Mia. He called her names and treated her awful enough to where she still thinks about it everyday. When things happen, Mia has to move away from Alabama. But now 9 years later she is going back to visit. Mia needs to change herself completely before seeing Ben so she decides have a one-night stand. Little did she know that one night would change everything.

Ben is fascinated by the girl he spent one night with and can’t get her out of his head. A girl has never affected Ben like that and he hates he didn’t even find out her name. Ben knows he has to go help his sister and face Mia again the annoying little girl from his past. But never did Mia think his one night girl would be Mia. And she literally knocks him on his butt.

Mia and Ben have such a crazy relationship. Ben is trying to prove he is good enough and has changed from the child he once and Mia is determined to keep Ben out and remember all the things he did to her. These two go through many obstacles together. There are things about Ben that Mia doesn’t know and things Ben is learning about Mia. I love the batter between these two and also the sweet side to Ben!!! AHHH BEN!!! He has grown into such a wonderful man. Don’t miss out on this amazing story of healing and love. I can’t wait for Tessa and Luke’s book!!
