Review: Isabella by Jennifer Foor

Publication Date: August 19, 2014
Series: The Mitchell/ Healy Family book 2
Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb:
One year ago Isabella Mitchell moved to Kentucky to live with her cousin Noah. Like her mother at her age, Isabella is drawn to men she shouldn’t be with. When she travels back to North Carolina to see her parents, she and her ex have a one-night stand. She knows they are through, but sometimes what happens in the bedroom doesn’t always stay in the bedroom.

Eight weeks later Isabella finds out she’s pregnant. She can’t tell anyone, because she knows how upset they’ll be. While struggling with decisions, Isabella catches the attention of the mysterious Rusty Tillman, a ranch hand for the Mitchell family. He’s handsome, hardworking, and ten years older. When Isabella refuses him, he takes it upon himself to claim the child as his own. Since she doesn’t want the family knowing the real father she goes along with the lie. The only problem is that Rusty wants more.

Can Isabella open her heart to a new love, or will she go back to the only man she’s ever loved?

Review: I love Jennifer’s books! I fell in love with the parent’s books so I had to read the kid’s books. Izzy was always one of my favorites from the Mitchell Series and I couldn’t wait to read her story. This book had my emotions all over the place. One minute I was laughing and the next wiping tears from my eyes.

Isabella is in love with her ex. Even though he completely did her wrong she cannot let those feelings go. I HATED her ex so bad. When Izzy goes home for a visit she runs right back over to him and realizes what a mistake she made. It broke my heart to see Isabella struggling so much. I wanted to scoop her up and give her a hug. Isabella thinks her life is over until she gets to know Rusty.

This book is told through both Isabella and Rusty’s POVs so we already know Rusty isn’t a bad guy. BUT he has to win over Isabella and she doesn’t trust him because he is so secretive. But Rusty has a good reason to protect himself. Once I found out his true story it broke my heart into pieces.

There were times I wanted to crawl through my kindle and smack a few people including Ty, Izzy’s father. If you don’t know Ty you need to know him. This book was emotional at times but it shows the strong bond between family and how important life really is. I fell in love with Izzy and Rusty!!! Can’t wait to continue the other kids stories!
