Review: All I Want by J. Daniels

Publication Date: November 24, 2014

Series: Alabama Summer Book 2

Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb: From NY Times and USA Today bestselling author, J. Daniels, the second book in the Alabama Summer series.

Luke Evans is a heartbreaker.
I didn’t want to give mine to him. Not when he kept me out.
He gave me enough, just enough to make me fall in love with him. I say this to convince myself. But I know the truth.
I would’ve fallen in love with him at a distance.
Handing my heart over to Luke was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. I was naive when I wished for more, when I hoped he wanted the same things I did.
I try to hate him. I try to forget him.
But it’s not that easy.
Love is a ruthless bitch, and I’m her latest victim.

Tessa Kelly is a man-eater.
When she sets her sights on you, she doesn’t just consume your heart, she goes for your soul.
What we had was perfect, real, and all I would ever want.
But she destroyed it.
She destroyed us.
I try to hate her. I try to forget her.
But it’s not that easy.
Love is for people who have hope, and I have none.

Warning: this book contains adult themes. 18+. All I Want is a standalone novel, but to fully appreciate the f****ed-up mess that is Luke & Tessa, pick up Where I Belong first.

As soon as I finished book 1, I went right into book 2. I could not wait for Luke and Tessa. This book was so much different than the first one. Luke and Tessa torn my emotions down so many times. My heart was beating so hard I thought it would beat out of my chest.
Tessa and Luke had a fling together. Tessa always wanted more but Luke was content with the way things were. Tessa has a little scare and completely freaks out which causes her and Luke to have problems. They have been apart from each other a while now but the feelings between these two are still there and they can’t get away from each other.

LUKE LUKE LUKE!!! AHHH he made me so mad during this book on more than one occasion. I wanted to crawl through my kindle and smack him a few times. Tessa was just as hard headed as Luke but he seemed to piss me off more than her. We also still get Mia and Ben in this book and Reed too. That’s one thing I love about this series, the friends are so close and loving to each other. This book is an emotional ride that will make you laugh, cry, scream, yell and everything in between more than once or twice. Now to go into Reed’s story … I can’t wait!!!!
