“I’d rather hurt you this way than watch you wake up one morning, after losing everyone in your life, because you think your love for me means more than your loyalty to them.”

Sarah said this to me.

“I’m sorry.”

She said that, too.

Caught up in the inescapable pain of an unexpected loss, Sarah and I shared one unforgettable night together. The next morning, she made the decision to walk away from what could’ve been.

To her, we were a mistake.

To me, we were everything I never knew I needed.

A.C. Bextor… you have no idea how many times you ripped my heart out with Travis and Sarah’s story. From the very beginning to the last page, I ugly cried my heart out. I knew Travis’ past was going to be rough… but… holy shit.. I didn’t expect that. Knowing this was the last book, I knew you’d wouldn’t hold back because Travis needed saving much like Sarah. My heart ached for these two characters and it broke as their hearts broke. I was an emotional mess after reading Travis’ stand and holy hell I wish there was going to be more!!! This story proves that sometimes the friends who stick by you when you’re young are the ones that will pick up when the world falls apart around you. Love knows no bounds and that rings true for Travis and Sarah.
