Review: Shattered By You by Nashoda Rose

Publication: 6-21-15
Series: Tear Asunder Book 3
Rating: 5 Hot Rocker With a Heart Cherries

What started out as a deal quickly became a friendship that conquered monsters.

I killed, but I escaped hell.

Emotionless. Disconnected. Cold. A mannequin. It’s what I’d become in order to survive the

years held in captivity. I was able to endure the abuse and devastating loss as long as I

remained detached.

But he wouldn't let me.

Crisis, the bass guitarist in my brother’s rock band, Tear Asunder. He’s cocky, rude, a total man-

whore. But the rock star has far more beneath the surface of his inked skin, and he’s

determined to make me laugh again.

He made me a "deal", but really, it was blackmail.

His terms were simple. Until his playful honesty became the building blocks to something

unexpected. Something strong enough to pull me from the eye of the storm.

Because even though I escaped years of abuse, it didn’t mean I was free.

For mature audiences only.

Shattered by You is written as a standalone, however, it is recommended you read the Tear

Asunder books in order.

*Contains spoilers for "Overwhelmed by You"

This is the third book in the Tear Asunder series.  Each book contains characters that

are interconnected throughout the entire series.  While I believe you could read this book as a

stand alone and enjoy it, I recommend reading the entire series to really get the full effect.

This is the story of Crisis and Haven.  Haven has just escaped a horrific past and still struggles

with those demons on a daily basis.  She feels her best defense against her past is to stay

numb and avoid human contact if at all possible.  The last thing she wants is a friend or lover to

melt her icy exterior.  That is until she meets rock star god and notorious bad boy Crisis from the

band Tear Asunder.  Crisis is sweet, caring and just asshole enough to drag Haven out of her

safety zone and into the emotional deep.  Will Crisis help thaw the ice that runs through Haven's

veins or will they both freeze trying.

First off, I love the way this author writes.  She engages you from the very beginning and you

really, REALLY want to know what happens with all of the Tear Asunder gang.  This book is just

another example of the exceptional writing that makes you very proud to read Indie Authors.  I

hope you will give this series a chance the way I did.  It really is wonderful and the characters

are superb.
