Review: Mercy by Lucian Bane

Publication Date: March 26, 2015

Series: Book 1
Rating: 5 Stars

***WARNING****
There are memories and actual scenes in the story that could be triggers for those who have suffered abuse. I did my best to shelter the reader at the more abusive parts while bringing to life this story of darkness meeting mercy, (who is a woman named Mercy, in this story). So read with caution.
****

As a sadomasochist, Sade just wants to get and give pain in manageable and somewhat legal doses.

All Mercy wants is to walk in her father's footstep--a man who sacrificed everything to save her from a life of abuse and suffering.

When Mercy finds an envelope on her doorstep leading her to Sade, the result is a collision of pain and mercy.

For Sade, Mercy's kindness is dessert for his sadism, and her strength has his masochism hot and begging. Exploiting both for his own pleasure is his plan until he realizes that Mercy's got her own game. And playing it requires something he's never had.

WOW this book is absolutely amazing. Going into this book I really didn’t know what to expect but the crazy, wild, and emotional ride is definitely what I got. Sade and Mercy have a way of pulling at your heartstrings more than a few times.

This book is told through both character’s POVs. When Mercy’s father died she wanted to follow in his footsteps. Her father saved her so she felt like it was time to save someone else. When Mercy opens the file and finds Sade her whole world is about to change in a way she could have never expected.

Sade is damaged, broken, and just an all- around complete mess. He uses pain to help him over-come his past. Sade doesn’t really care if he lives or dies. He has problems no one can fix and most would never understand. Until in walks Mercy and Sade’s world is flipped upside down.

There were times I wanted to slap Sade. He made me so MAD!!! But when Sade and Mercy’s stories slowly came out, I wanted to hold both of them. Both were so broken and felt so alone until they found each other. Two broken souls trying to fight demons deep inside. There are very many twists and a few huge surprises throughout this book. Some I was completely shocked while others broke my heart completely. And of course the ending left me screaming NO I need more now. I seriously cannot wait for book two and my fingers are crossed for Sade and Mercy to fix each other completely.
