Paradox by River Savage

As an avid lover of this series and all things River Savage, I jumped for join when I received a Paradox Arc weeks before the anthology hit the digital shelves. I’ll admit going into this story I was scared shitless. The premise of a change to my beloved Nix and Kadence worried me. Would I still like brooding alpha male Nix? Would Kadence be a glimmer of the feisty character I love? It took me 2 days to build myself up to open Paradox. I finished it within an hour and it left me stunned. The only words that could come out of my mouth were holy fuck.

Nix is not what I expected. He was much harder than in Incandescent, but the man who would lie down in traffic for Kadence was still deep down inside of him. I don’t know why, but I think I like him even better as an edgier biker in Paradox. Let’s just say much like Kadence his demanding ways got my engines running. Kadence’s sassiness was turned down just enough that I didn’t feel like she was too much of a different character. This new perspective on their relationship really blew me away. Even though Nix did what he had to do at the very beginning, he showed his remorse and concern for his actions. Kadence’s life is a much darker path as well. This alternative Knight’s Rebels universe really shook me to my core even days after reading it.

This story and this anthology plants the idea into a reader’s head just how one change in our past could have affected the future. River’s given me a lot to think about in terms of just how easily things could have happened just as they did in Paradox.

Lure by Author M. Mabie

Having not read the original story behind this What If situation before reading Lure, I definitely will read it now! This is the experience that I have had with M. Mabie and it was wonderful! This story definitely packs a romantic gut-wrenching punch! It's a both an ugly and happy cry rolled into one story!

Delusion by Author Chelle Bliss

holy fuck! Delusion definitely went the complete opposite direction that I thought it was going to end up! Our favorite Gallos family girl, Izzy's life is just about to hit the fan. James Caldo is going to wreck her world like never before and leave her with some surprises along the way. Chelle Bliss you just made my heart race!!!!

Unforeseen by Shantel Tessier

This story ripped my heart out from the very first page. I sat at my desk ugly crying at work while reading this at my lunch hour. I was gutted with the twist with Tate. The sorrow that Missy felt drips off the pages like rain from the clouds. I actually had to take a break from reading because of this novella. Shantel you broke my heart and stitched it back together again!!
