A fight he must win...

Piper Oliver knows she can't trust him. They warned her that the tall, dark, and sexy black-ops soldier Jory Dean would try to win her over with his steel-gray eyes and deadly charm, but she won't be conned by this man they call a traitor. All she has to do is figure out the science necessary to save his life, and she's done. Something isn't adding up, though, and she won't rest until she uncovers the truth-even if it's buried in his deep, dangerous kiss.

A passion she can't resist...

Jory will do anything to reunite with and save his brothers-even kidnap the gorgeous woman who's working to deactivate the deadly chip in their spines. But the forces determined to destroy his family won't let them go so easily. Keeping Piper alive is more than he bargained for-and so is his burning desire for her. But with every second bringing him closer to certain death, can he afford to lose himself in her hot and willing embrace?

This is the book that all Sin Brothers series fans have been waiting to read… JORY!! After the release of Blind Faith, I knew that the year until this book would be utter agony!!

My heart ached for Jory. The youngest of the Dean Brothers had thought to been murdered after a startling discovery of a video depicting his demise.  Two years later and still mourning the loss of Jory and their fight for freedom and for the women in their lives, they discover the shot to his chest may not have been as fatal as they once thought. They embark on a mission to either locate their brother and/or bring down The Commander once and for all. Oh, and don’t forget, the devices attached to their spines are set to go off at any time and they need that code now!

I think what I loved most about this series and this book in particular is Zanetti’s ability to portray such deeply rooted love and loyalty for these men. They’ve literally been to hell and back throughout their lives and they deserved every second of freedom they have obtained since the first book. One of the over arcing emotional feelings I get when reading this series is Loyalty. These brothers come from an unlikely origin, but their will to live and keep each other safe is so strong that dangers around them don’t even seem to faze them.  One special thing to note about Total Surrender is that we get a rare glimpse of all of the brother’s thoughts and opinions within this one book. I felt closer to the brothers after reading this book because for nearly the first time in the entire series they were all featured.

It’s not a true Lauren review if we don’t talk about the characters. While all of the Deans are attractive and ferociously passionate in the bedroom, Jory comes off a little bit more down to earth that his brothers. The added bonus that he is a computer nerd and grew up with a little bit of a softer side than his hardcore brothers really showcased Zanetti’s talents for character development. Piper was a bit of an enigma to me at first. Her origins are quite interesting, but you’ll have to wait to read the book about those. She’s a talented computer hacker and her talents in a multi-faceted way are used throughout the story. The Commander and Dr. Madison are still heinously evil and twisted.

To sum Total Surrender up in a single sentence is difficult. Within its pages are heart pounding intense fight scenes, passionate love, and heartfelt reunions and goodbyes. I don’t think there is a single world I could use to describe the masterpiece that is Total Surrender except perfection. I would like to thank Rebecca Zanetti for the wild ride she’s given me over the last couple of years. Here’s the future with the Dean Brothers!
