Official Blurb: Only loyalty can truly win his heart…

Gangs, organized crime and underground bare-knuckle fighting make up the world that Kieran Delaney thrives within. His reputation is built on the talent of his fists, as much as his ability to get information about any and everything. Never one to be caught by surprise or bested, Kieran knows what you’re going to do before you do it…until Darcy Quinlan enters his life. She introduces herself with a knife to his throat and a promise of unbridled pain. Darcy’s life has been destroyed by betrayal and false promises of safety. Living on the streets for the last eight years, she’s has been a ghost. Never in one place long enough to be seen because you can’t catch what isn’t there. Now Kieran sees her and can’t erase her image from his mind.

Kieran and Darcy must now battle to keep her alive and by his side. As her past enters her life from every angle, Kieran makes certain her safety is no longer a concern, annihilating her demons at every corner. He’ll fight, he’ll maim, he’ll torture and he’ll murder to keep Darcy protected. If Kieran can win, her life will no longer be shrouded in blackness…loyalty will lift the veil.

I really enjoyed the first two books in the series but I have to say this one was my favorite so far. Kieran and Darcy aka Quinn won me over from the very beginning. Their story was so intense and at times had me on the edge of my seat trying to guess what would have next.

In the first 2 books in the series, we get a glimpse at Kieran and find out what all he has done to help Shannon aka Kid. He intrigued me from the first books because he was so mysterious and would only show up when he was needed. This book switches from both Kieran to Darcy’s POVs so we get to see how both characters are feeling. The first interaction between these two was great and it threw Kieran for a loop.

Darcy aka Quinn is homeless. It really caught my attention because I wanted to know what happened and why she was always running. Of course as the story unfolds we find out everything and I was very shocked for Quinn. She is such a strong woman for taking care of herself for all these years. At first her and Kieran do nothing but fight because she has been on her own for 8 years now so she isn’t use to a man in her life.

I am not the one for spoilers but there were several things in this book that took me by surprise. One surprise came pretty early in the book and it happens to Quinn. I loved her for what she did and it was absolutely amazing. This book has so many twists and turns and it’s a very emotional roller coaster ride. I highly recommend this read you will not be disappointed. Hopefully everyone will fall in love with Kieran even though he is a complete bad boy, he still stole my heart right away.
