In Time and This Too Shall Pass Double Cover Reveal!!!

And in time…

Being single doesn’t mean you have to be lonely. Alexis McKinley was a firm believer in that. She of all people knew that one didn’t need a man. Being alone didn’t mean she was available, or that she was weak. It meant that she was strong enough to go it alone. Riding solo was better than a false relationship where she had to be defined by someone else. Not Alexis. She was too resilient and proud for that. Love doesn’t always show up looking like a fairytale. Sometimes you don’t even have to be looking for it, sometimes it finds you. That’s exactly how it happened. Alexis wasn’t searching, she didn’t want it, and she failed…miserably. New in town, single, and Handsome Cory Baker caused her to neglect what had been imprinted for years, but how? Confined by carefully constructed walls kept her heart safe. Not only was she keeping the sadness out, but the joy as well.
And in time…

This too shall pass.

After reading the true love between Alexis and Cory in
And in time…
You got the happily ever after of two people deeply in love, or did you? Maybe it was simply a once upon a time?
Can two people in love really have a happy ending? Can they survive the obstacles and defy the odds?
Alexis and Cory have built a life together, but do they have a future?
Alexis was raised to believe God wouldn’t give her more than she could handle. The impact of that tested her to her limits and she couldn’t tell if it was killing her or making her stronger.
Was it time to give herself permission to walk away?
There were no mistakes only lessons. Alexis learned them well, and it was time to rebuild the carefully constructed wall.
This too shall pass.

Review:A Little Bit Broken #3 by Olivia Devon

Publication Date: September 23, 2014
Series and Book Number: 3
Rating: 5 stars

Official Blurb:

Jane Claremont is falling hard. Dr. Thomas Grayson has claimed her body, and now he’s after her heart.

It was supposed to be just a fling. A few days away to get this crazy sexual chemistry they have, out of their systems. But the closer she gets to him, the more he demands.

And that scares the hell out of her.

Jane can’t risk sharing herself, without sharing the secrets of her past. That’s just not something she’s ready to do. Until, she finds out, Thomas has secrets of his own.

A Little Bit Broken - Book 3 is about 40,000 words. It’s the third book in the series, and picks up directly after the second book. The series is intended for readers 18+, due to steamy sexual scenes and adult language.

This series was by far the best series I have read in a while. I loved everything about the third book and I wish I had more. I feel lost without more to read! In this book, we get to see more of Thomas’s and Jane’s pasts. I did not see either one of the scenarios that happened to each of them and my heart went out to both of them. I loved how they helped each other cope through those hard times. It is crazy and awesome at the same time how much they both need each other. Jane still has a lot of issues to work through but I know Thomas will be there with her to help her find her way. I did not want to say goodbye to these characters.  It is a beautiful story and I cannot wait for the next one. I literally read all three books in one night. It’s one of those series that you cannot put down. This is a must buy and you are missing out if you do not buy this series!

Release Blitz: Ruined by LP Lovell

Title: Ruined
Series: She Who Dares #4
Author: LP Lovell
 Release Date: April 30, 2015

Ruined is book four in the She Who Dares series, but can be read as a standalone.

I like to fuck. A lot. Anywhere, anyway, as long as I’m shooting my load in or on some pretty young thing I’m good. In fact, scrap that, they don’t even have to be pretty. What can I say? I’m an equal opportunities kind of guy.

I pride myself on being able to turn even the most self-respecting woman into a dirty slut. I make no apologies for my life or my behaviour. I don’t care about anyone really, certainly not women.

Except her. I care about her, which is why I pushed her away.

I suppose I’m what you would call the good girl, the sensible one. I’m that girl, the romanticist. I believe in ‘the one’, in that all-encompassing love that leaves you unable to breathe without it.

The thing is though, love is an uncontrollable animal. The heart often declares war on the mind, and even the most rational being can become completely consumed by love.

Sometimes rational is boring. It’s the taste of the wild side that makes you remember you’re alive. The heart wants what the heart wants, even if you end up completely ruined in the process.

AHHH LP!! YOU ARE KILLING ME!! I knew as soon as I picked up this book that I was about to get into a "If you disturb me while reading you're gonna lose a body part" mode. I wasn't wrong. I innocently decided to read Ruin while taking a break from packing to move. No packing was done for the last 12 hours much to my husbands dismay.

Hugo and Molly's story wrecked me in an unconventional way. These two have always been on a crash course for love in my opinion, but neither one of them are the type to settle down into a picket fence kind of life. Hugo is a man whore while Molly has a relationship phobia deeply rooted in sweaty, messy, dirty sex. Molly is much a divergent character in that she has a dark sensually side that she covers with an air of innocence, but we all know the dark, dirty Molly is her true self.  In comparison to Hugo, Molly is the Mother Teresa of the the pair. Hugo will fuck any woman who won't shake him off as long as she strikes his mood right. He's not above paying for quality sex or stumbling in the bed of a woman in dire need to let go. He gets himself into legal situations because he literally cannot keep Rambo in his pants. Yes, ladies and gentlemen (and those who haven't read these marvelous books), he named his cock Rambo.

One of the best parts of this novel revolves around Molly and Hugo's love/hate sexual tension filled relationship. She's trying to do the right thing and date the kind of man her family expects, but Hugo is always there. The good Doctor has a moral streak and that doesn't bode well for their relationship when a horny Molly is on the lose and her B.O.B. just doesn't do the trick anymore. The batter back and forth between these characters made me cry I was laughing so hard especially Hugo's stint in sex addicts group counseling.

All in All, this story was a perfection addition to the She Who Dares series. Ruined was charmingly witty and sexually tension charged. Ladies, put your husbands on call because as soon as you finish this book you are going to need some sexual healing of your own. LP men out there thank you for this book! You've ruined me for awhile on dirty sexy romance! I doubt much could top this book.

Review: A Little Bit Broken #2 by Olivia Devon

Publication date: August 4, 2014

Series: Becoming Jane #2

Rating:5 stars

Official Blurb:

Jane Claremont has a painful past. The last time she fell for someone, it almost destroyed her, and she resolved to never let that happen again.

That is…until she met the Professor.

Dr. Thomas Grayson is gorgeous, smart, charming, and dangerously sexy. Jane can’t get enough of him. His words haunt her mind, his hands own her body.

Every moment she spends with the Professor, her heart is in danger. With every look, every word, every caress of his hand, she can sense he feels the same. He’s a little bit broken too.

This connection they have…it’s frightening. It’s irresistible.

I didn’t think it would be possible to like the second book more than the first, but I was definitely proven wrong. I fell in love with Thomas more and more in the second book. Jane is finally realizing some things she needs to change for herself. I loved that they are starting to get to know each other more. I felt like a teenager for them, knowing how they felt about each other and god the anticipation was killing me there for a minute! I am excited and rubbing my hands together for the next book. Highly recommend reading this one as well.

Review: Buried Sins by Karice Bolton

Publication Date: 4/25/2015
Series: Luke Fletcher #2
Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb:

Fletcher Security Systems has become one of the largest firms of its type in the world. Luke has mastered how to protect everyone else at all cost without dealing with his own demons. Or so he thinks.

When one of Luke’s top men is captured, he realizes the people who murdered his parents are sending a message loud and clear. He is next. As secrets are unburied, it becomes apparent these people will stop at nothing to get what they want, and they set their sights on Hannah.

Karice Bolton has done it again with the newest edition of the Luke Fletcher Series.  I couldn’t put this book down because I knew the other shoe was going to have to drop in terms of their relationship. After everything they went through in Hidden Sins, I knew that their romance wasn’t finished weathering the rocky waters of love. This book pulls at your heartstrings with the force of a F5 tornado. To call this book amazing is the understatement of the year. Bolton has delivered a suspenseful tale filled with romance and heartbreak. I ugly cried so hard while reading Buried Sins that I woke up my husband during the middle of the night.  Luke and Hannah’s life is a rollercoaster of pain, love, heartbreak, and self-sacrifice. So many times while reading, I wanted to reach through my Nook to hug Hannah or smack Luke.  Without giving away the plot, my review will have to remain short. I will end with this. If you haven’t read this series or anything by Karice Bolton, you absolutely don’t know what you are missing. Her books are a one click addicts dream. What are you waiting for? Get to clicking!

Review: Surviving Harmony: A Pretty Wings Novel by AF Diamond

Publication Date: March 13, 2015
Series and Book number:  The Pretty Wings Chronicles #1
Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb:

**SERIES INFO: Although this book is listed as part of a series, each book within The Pretty Wings Chronicles can be read as a STANDALONE. There are no cliffhangers.**

The author…

Aislin Somers walks through life haunted by the monsters of a past she can’t escape. For twelve years she has shut herself off from the real world, but her rising success as an author forces her into the spotlight where she’ll have to face her fears. Will shedding her anonymity and stepping out of the shadows allow a New Monster to find a way to her doorstep?

The actor…

Taylor Mandrake is a rising star. Often spotted with several of Hollywood’s sexiest starlets, he’s developed a reputation as a bit of a playboy—willing to share his bed but never his heart. Until he meets her.

He’s everything she could ever want.

However, his past may be all it takes to convince Aislin that he can’t be trusted with her fragile heart.

When these two guarded souls come together, will they be able to survive the monsters of their pasts in order to embrace the love of their future?

I absolutely loved reading this novel. I was sucked into the life of an author and I couldn’t stop reading until I finished. Everything about Aislin is a breath of fresh air. She is smart, witty, sassy, and utterly beautiful. I knew instantly something bad had happened to her. I wanted to know what that was so I could understand her better. I didn’t know why she hid herself from the world for 12 years. I didn’t understand why she only had a handful of friends she trusted. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened. Just knowing she survived and was putting her fears aside made me love her all the more.

Taylor was very interesting to read about. Of course he was a hot actor, but that isn’t all he is. He is smart as well, kind, and gentle. He is the life of the party along with his best friend Chase( who had me hysterically laughing every time he opened his mouth). I loved Taylor. He was a great strong character that Aislin needed. The first meeting between the two was kind of awkward, but it was super sweet at the same time. I was rooting the whole time for them to take the next step in their relationship. I knew Taylor also had a past that he couldn’t let go of, and they both were afraid of getting hurt.

But when Aislin takes the huge step and tells her story, I was devastated for her. The things she went through over nothing left me in a ball of emotions that I didn’t know how to work through. I cried, I got angry, and I had to walk away for a bit from the story. The emotions this author brought out of me was crazy! I rarely get mad at things that happen in a book, but this time, I wanted to go into the book world and hurt the person that hurt Aislin the way they did. I am still a ball of emotions even after reading this book a day ago.

This novel sends a powerful message. Aislin is a sweet girl. Just because she was a different race and was so beautiful, people treated her differently. I really would like to meet this author one day. If only just to tell her how amazingly written this novel was. Or even to shake her hand and tell her how much this book affected me. I highly recommend reading this novel. I can promise you now, you will not regret it. I loved it and I look forward to many more books written by this author.

Review: A Little Bit Broken by Olivia Devon

Publication date: May 6, 2014
Series: Becoming Jane #1
Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb:

Jane Claremont is a little bit broken. By day she’s a college student, at night she’s a stripper. Life is all about school and work. She’s not looking for love. Until she meets the man of her dreams.

Sexy. Smart. Amazing blue eyes.

The attraction between them is immediate and intense. Now there’s nothing Jane wants more than Dr. Thomas Grayson.

There’s just one problem…he’s her Professor.

A Little Bit Broken - Book 1 is 25,000 words. The series is intended for readers 18+, due to steamy sexual scenes and adult language.

I really thought this novella was a great change from all of the other books I have read. It was short and was oh so steamy! Jane is one of the main characters and I loved her. She isn’t some sweet and shy girl. She is strong and goes for what she wants. She has her eyes set on the hot and sexy professor and I was rooting for her the entire book. Thomas at first seems to be the type of guy who needed a push into coming out of his shell. But the more I read about both of them, the more I realized Thomas only let Jane believe that. They really don’t know much about each other until one night they see each other under unusual circumstances. I could not stop reading this novella and I am excited to start the next one! Highly recommend reading these!

Devil On Your Back Blog Tour

Devil on Your Back is Now Available!

When all you have left is choice, how do you ensure you make the right one? I thought that losing my family was the linchpin to my suffering; the thing which would forever hold my head under the dark waters of regret. But I was wrong … so wrong. What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, and what threatens us only serves to feed the beast. My boy is in trouble, and it’s time this father stood up for what he should have a long time ago. Only, after years of believing I deserved to spend my days alone, punishing myself for the mistakes I made, I’ve finally found the truth—her. When she needs me as much as my son, how will I decide which path to take? Will I be doomed to forever make the wrong choice? And will I, once again, lose everything I love and drown in my regret?

I don't even know where to begin with this book. I had a emotional overload while reading it. Our favorite Butcher Boy Malice has more to deal with than Jane now. His father Vince has re-surfaced and is dead set on helping him avoid Carlos wrath. Vince is seeking redemption from the darkness in his past with his son and trying to move on with a brighter future. The tragic loss of his wife sends him spiraling into a dark depression shutting out everyone including his son. He has survivor's guilt over so many things which complicates every single relationship in his life including his new romantic interest Sonya, who also is facing the ghost of her husband.

This story as I mentioned above is an emotional roller coaster. It above all gives hope to those who have lost the love of their life that they might find love farther down the road and when they are in a better place. Everyone needs to feel love especially those who have faced loss. It's also refreshing that Max decided to focus on two middle aged characters instead of a younger pair. Stories involving an MC often revolve around young couples so I am happy to see a different twist. We get to see more of the Butcher Boys and are left with a tease of what's to come in later books. I highly recommend this series!!

Originally born and bred in Canterbury, New Zealand, Max now resides with her family in beautiful and sunny Queensland, Australia. Life with two young children can be hectic at times, and although she may not write as often as she would like, Max wouldn’t change a thing.

Book Review: Tempting Bad by M. Robinson

Publication Date: March 23, 2015

Rating: 5 Stars

Official Blurb:

****Tempting BAD is a VIP spin off. It can also be read as a standalone.****

I’ve come from a privileged life and an even more privileged upbringing. My parents taught me right from wrong and everything in between… except I wanted the gray area. I wanted to live life on the edge with the possibility of falling over. I didn’t care about the consequences because I had no heart…
I left that on the floor of my parents’ bedroom door, shattered.
And never went back to pick up the pieces.

Family first.
I learned the meaning of the word hate.
I learned that life is a battlefield and I stood frontline.
I learned that praying doesn’t work and God doesn’t listen.
And I learned how to be a man…
All at the receiving end of my father’s fists, my mother’s tears, and my sisters screams.
You can’t run away from your past…
It will always find you, especially when you’re asleep.

Warning: Book contains adult situations.
Sex/language. Mature readers only.

I have read every book by M Robinson but this was my absolute favorite by far. I literally read this book in one day. This book left me speechless and shocked so many times. To say I am emotionally drained is an understatement but in a good way.

This book is told through both characters POVs. We get a glimpse of Brooke and Devon throughout the VIP series. I was very intrigued to find out there story and see how much it connected.  So when the book starts we get a background story of Brooke and Devon. Brooke came from a good family and loved her parents but one night completely changed everything. Devon has literally fought for his mom and sisters since he was a child. I felt so bad for him for what he went through. Both Brooke and Devon are broken but together they heal each other. It wasn’t an easy road at all and these two went through hell and back to get there.

There were times in this book I wanted to hold Brooke and Devon but there were also times I wanted to slap both of them a few times. I know I got mad at Brooke quite a few times but I did actually understand why she made the choices she made. Brooke isn’t the only one who made me mad, Devon also pissed me off a few times. Sometimes things in life aren’t easy especially love but somehow Brooke and Devon didn’t give up even though there were times that I was biting my nails.

This book is definitely an emotional roller coaster ride that will make you happy, sad, pissed off, scream at your kindle a few times, jump up and down, and possibly throw your kindle across the room. It wasn’t easy ride at all but it was a ride that was very worth it. Brooke and Devon have stolen my heart completely. I look forward to more by M Robinson she has a way of ripping out your heart just to put it back together in the end.
