When I Fall by J. Daniels Release Blitz

Title: When I Fall
Series: Alabama Summer #3
Author: J. Daniels
 Release Date: March 17, 2015

From NY Times and USA Today Bestselling author, J. Daniels

Book three in the Alabama Summer series.

For the past nine years, I’ve kept my heart as far away from my dick as possible.

Those two can’t be anywhere near each other. They don’t play nice, and one of them undoubtedly winds up getting hurt.

Not my dick. My dick is good.

The women I take home know exactly what they’re getting from me—sex. Nothing more. At least, that’s what’s supposed to happen. The sweet brunette from Kentucky I set my sights on tonight shouldn’t have been any different. I had her right where I wanted her. Where I needed her. But when my past comes walking into McGill’s pub, the woman in my arms decides to take things to a whole new level, putting me into a situation I never saw coming.

My heart is about to get fucked. My dick can sit this one out.

*** Warning: This book is recommended for readers over the age of 18 due to strong language and explicit sexual content.
When I Fall can be read as a standalone novel.

I honestly have spent 4-5 days trying to figure out what to say in this review for When I Fall. This book for me kept me up until the wee hours of the morning because I simply could not go to sleep without knowing how it would end. I’ll even admit that this happened with every book in the Alabama Summers series. There’s just something hypnotizing about how J. Daniels plots and executes her novels that leave me in a trance while reading. You can even ask my husband that while reading this novel he literally stood in front of me clapping his hands and it didn’t faze me at all.

When I Fall was no different when it comes to my love for Daniel’s books. I’ll admit I’ve always had a bit of curiosity would kill the cat syndrome when it comes to Reed. He’s hard working construction worker that refuses to let any woman near him long enough to break the ice barrier around his heart. I don’t think even Elsa could have de-frosted Reed’s heart if she tried. Yet, I knew that for a man who had such a passion for well the bedroom that there was a deep and dark story behind his one night stand only rule. Going into this novel, I wasn’t sure what to make of him, but now knowing his story I honestly feel for him. The things he went through with his first love would surely break any sane person down far more as Reed reveals her treachery. He would be the kind of boy every teenage girl wishes she could know and receive his love. But, as in all romances, there’s always one person who can come swooping into your life and make you re-think every rule you’ve ever made. For Reed, that would be Beth.

Now Beth herself has truly lived a life of heartbreak. Tragedy after Tragedy amasses in this poor girl’s life. She’s left to her own devices and has to make do with what she can even if it means living with a deplorable douche bag of a man for just means of survival. When the chance at finding peace and happiness in her life falls into her lap, she runs for the car and never looks back. She’s Alabama bound and ready to start living her life. Her past will not dictate her future and she will make something of herself.  Her tenacity and bravado lands Reed in some serious uncomfortable situations, but what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger, right Reed?

When I Fall was more than just about finding peace and love, but that of finding the one person in your life that’s willing to fight for you.  Even when someone seems okay on the outside, you never truly know what’s happening to them on the inside. Daniels as managed to take what could very well be a situation someone is facing now and turning it into a literary masterpiece. This story felt so damn real to me. The connection between all the characters in this novel just goes to show how talented Daniels is as an author.  She’s made me envious of a fictional set of characters heartbreaking love for each other and that doesn’t happen very often with me.  Thank you so much J. Daniels for giving me the chance of reading this book before its release. If there was a way I could write an infinity symbol in after my star rating for this novel I would.
