Review: The Deal by Elle Kennedy

Publication: 2-24-15
Series: Off Campus Series #1
Rating: 6 Warm Fuzzy Feeling Cherries

Shes about to make a deal with the college bad boy...

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, shes carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crushs attention, shell have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take noticeeven if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

...and its going to be oh so good.

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything hes worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, hes all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesnt take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isnt going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

So this book was a...

for me. It gave me a serious case of warm and fuzzy feelings. I was legitimately happy when I finished reading it and was smiling like a fool for at least an hour or more afterward.

I seriously can't give enough cherries to truly convey how I feel about his book. Hannah was amazing. She was sweet, kind, genuine and was well aware of her flaws. She described herself as broken. The funny thing is even the most broken soul is just looking for the right glue to put them back together. Enter Garrett.... Freaking.... Graham!!!!!

Bad boy, hockey playing, puck bunny/sorority girl banging, super star God athlete, or at least that's what the world sees. Hell, that's what Hannah sees when she first looks at Garrett too. She thinks he's a dumb man whore jock, and what's better, is she tells him that, multiple times!

But this story is told in alternating POV which makes it all the more sweet. We get to see into the soul of the man. We are privy to his inner thoughts, dreams and desires. Garrett is SO much more than a dumb jock, he is determined, funny, smart and most importantly never fake. He and Hannah embark on an unlikely adventure that will shake both of their worlds and make them rethink their priorities. I could seriously gush on for days about how real and amazing this read was for me. I loved that it wasn't an insta-love story. This was two people who didn't know anything about one another coming together and becoming friends in a realistic way. A realistic friendship surprisingly turns into something more and well...... You will have to read the book for yourselves to see what else happens.

Side note- Book Two is in the works right now and I couldn't be happier. It's about one of the side characters that you really come to love in the story. I will be cyberstalking Mrs Kennedy for more details about book 2!
