Stolen Moon Blog Tour

Stolen Moon by Kimber Leigh Wheaton
(Light Chronicles #2)
Publication date: August 19th 2014
Genres: Fantasy, Romance, Young Adult

Katarina ~ a Royal Knight bound by honor and duty who steals a powerful relic from a sorcerer in a desperate attempt to save her kingdom from the clutches of a madman.

Ethan ~ a mercenary leader trapped between his growing attraction to Katarina and his responsibility to protect his friends from the evil pursuing her.

Zebulon ~ a malicious sorcerer waging war as though it’s a game, caring nothing for the lives he destroys in his quest for power.

Drawn together by a moonstone medallion—an indestructible relic with immense magical power.
Katarina steals the medallion from Zebulon and flees in the dead of night. Together with Ethan and his mercenaries, she struggles to stay one step ahead of the sorcerer and his minions in a race against time to save her homeland. Fierce battles, ravenous monsters, and bloodthirsty brigands—those are no surprise. But Katarina never dreamed her greatest obstacle could be falling in love.

Stolen Moon is the 2nd book of the Light Chronicles series. Taking place 4 years after Ashlyn and Zane’s story in Shadow Fire.

Katarina’s story centers around her journey to return a stolen magically relic to its resting place. A megalomaniac sorcerer named Zebulon is hell bent on destruction and making Katarina his wife. He sends his minions to chase her and her family down to receive both the relic and Katarina. Fate brings her into Ashlyn and Zane’s path. They direct her to find a young mercenary named Ethan. Ethan and his band of rag tag mercenaries travel a dark and dangerous path of magically self discovery, battles, as well as a little bit of romance. Katarina isn’t one to neither shy away from battle nor be protected as a china doll would be, but Ethan has awoken something inside her. Together they must face the depth of dark evil at his core to end Zebulon’s hell on earth reign.

This story is a great continuation of a saga of dark magic, mystery and romance. As another reviewer said, this book is clean enough in the romance department and violence that readers of all ages could equally enjoy this book series. The drama and battles themselves are enough to keep older readers engaged while engrossing young readers with a tease of romance and a HEA.

My only dislike about this series is the continuation of an instant romance. Personally, I like my characters to have a segment of their budding relationship to get to know one another before jumping whole heartedly into a full blown romance. This is a very good series and a very good novel. It appeals more to a cleaner romance and fantasy book reader I will admit. All in all, I have enjoyed this series so far and will continue reading it in the future.

She is married to her soul mate, has a teenage son, and shares her home with three dogs, four cats, and lots of dragons. No, she doesn’t live on a farm, she just loves animals. Kimber Leigh is addicted to romance, videogames, superheroes, villains, and chocolate—not necessarily in that order. (If she has to choose, she’ll take a chocolate covered superhero!)
