Review: Sweet Temptations: The Babysitter by Dark Inferno

Series:  Sweet Temptations #1

Rating: 3.5 Stars

Official Blurb:

Richard Martin had spent his life trying to be a good man, ever noble and honest . He loved his wife, with a passion, and had never strayed from his vows. However, the bonds of marriage and family are such savoury things for a man with a sweet tooth and for the first time, his eyes were straying towards their babysitter. Young and beautiful, Rebecca was a vision of temptation, and never was anything so sweet as the forbidden fruits of temptation...

This is the first volume in Dark Inferno's sizzling new series Sweet Temptations.

The debut novel by Dark Inferno is a short, but well written. As its name states, its filled with sweet temptations. Richard is an old married man. His life is filled with work and spending time with his family. Yet, in a single day, he’s become the proverbial flame to three very sexy sirens moths. He’s surrounded by sweet temptation and tries so damn hard to stay faithful. But, when his family sexy 21 year old babysitter gives him an offer he cannot seem to refuse, what’s a bored married man to do?

I can’t help it… this Varsity Blues reference popped into my head and I CANNOT get it out.

While not being a fan of marital affairs in real life, I wasn’t exactly sure how I’d feel about this book. It was enjoyable, but in the back of my mind I kept screaming at Richard to keep his one eyed monster in his pants and go back to his wife.  Though, his wife can be held partially responsible for planting the idea of the babysitter’s interest in his head before he went to help her upstairs. Personal feelings aside, this novel is as I mentioned above well written. Scarlett’s character really intrigued me and I look forward to learning more about her in subsequent novels. I would have liked to see a little more story progression and world development, which is why I rated this novel 3.5 stars.
